Hi,

I recently had my suspension height raised slightly and also had new springs installed.

Ever since this was done I\'ve notice my car randomly pulls to the right. I jacked up my car today and noticed one of the small suspension arms seems to be at a wierd angle on the drivers side.

Ive uploaded some pics can someone have a look and see if this might be causing my problem?

Im pretty sure this is not meant to look like this:

Heres another pic from the top:

Heres a pic of the same part on the passenger side, looks a lot straighter:

Thanks

is that for the roll bar by the looks of it? Does look like it\'s been pushed too far over where it meets rollbar & is almost coming off the top which i no it cant do but anyway check the roll bar mount as mine was as per image below:

which was caused in part by the link itself (cost about £70 from mazda off top of me head) having got bent & as per pikky below the ally (AKA weak ass) roll bar mounts which i replaced with RE-Armemiya strength bar from Ross at about £170 i think it was....

i tell a lie £58.44 post VAT for the link (make sure they get correct side t055ers gave me left instead of right first of all) & bar was 180 looking at ross\'s site.....

I think you are right, probably is that roll bar thing.

I remember just before I had my suspension raised(the car was reallly low) someone left a brick in the middle of the road near where I work. I didnt see it and drove over it and it lifted up the front of my car. Didnt think it caused any damage but now think it might have bent this rollbar.

Hope it hasnt bent the long bar that goes under the car.

Scoob,
where did you get the link from, noticed my passenger side one is similarly skewiff.

Thanks

the link was just from a stealer erm Mazda dealer the RE-A strangth bar which replaces the easily bent standard roll bar mount points was from Ross at Dragon..... So i\'d put money on that being bent the rollbar itself is quite hefty so it wood take sum beating to muller that i guess & was suggested they\'re easily bent back even if so http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008\' target=\'_blank\'>http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_5_128.gif\' border=0>
Good luck & lettice no what it was & how it goes....

Any alterations to your car in height front or back , down or up will alter the camber/ castor angles so you will need these adjusting to make the vehicle safe to use especially on a high performance car like the RX-7,

I would suggest that you now have excessive positive castor which is possibly making the suspension "bind"

These cars benefit tremendously from proper laser line 4 wheel geometry checking / adjusting , and become beautiful cars to drive because of having this carried out, l have driven my car that has been aligned in this manner at speeds of 160 + (abroad of course) with no steering input due to the car running arrow straight

Sorry if all this sounds a little dramatic, but flying off the road due to incorrectly adjusted suspension is also a bit dramatic !.

Really hope this helps.
All the best Clive
