I\'m going to try replacing my 90 Turbo II\'s diff and gearbox oil quite soon. Any advice on what kind of oils i should be using in the box and diff respectivley?

Has anyone done this before? Because although i can more than cope with an engine oil and filter change, and i\'ve got a workshop manual for the turbo II i think this is prob gonna be a herculean task! Lol!

Thanks guys!

Iv not long since changed my diff and g/box oil in the FD, if i remember correctly i ended up using Millers 75w90

There are 2 drain holes on the FC gearbox, they are stiff to get off, make sure you open the top plug first before the bottom plug, so that you can definatly refill the box, else you will have a drained box and no way to refill it!

i recently changed the oil in the diff and rigged up a very simple device to fill it for me..a bit like a drip.

turn oil container upside down and attach a length of tubing to the short filler tube on the bottle. Poke a few holes in the bottom of the container to allow air to escape and simply pop the end of the tubing into the diff. I then tie-wrapped the container onto my garage wall and watched as it slowly drained into the diff.... no mess...no fuss .... just great.
