no the wheels are fine, but they are the last thing on my list after rust sorted, getting the car undersealed and getting the gearbox looked at

Quote from: billybobboothi love the way people mock it when someone puts hose pipe or air duckting or something in but ill tell you something i was going to use some of that metal hose ducting for air feeds but the stuff is crap i used it on an mr2 years back and if it tuches something or you make a hole to hold it in place with a tag tie or something it just falls to bits with the engines heat and vibration. hence why its got semi expencive modifies air ducting thats tick plastic coz it copes with the heat and the flex of the engine and you can lean on it and it wont perish like the ****ty metal flex air pipe you can get.

Fair point well made, but youd\'ve been better off with a silicone joiner, even if you have to use wire-reinforced Superflex. It\'d not be brittle like a metal joiner, and would resist heat soak from the engine, which is the other major problem with metal pipes, but silicone has the major advantage that the inner surface is smooth. The main problem is that all the corrugations in the hoover pipe cause major turbulence by breaking up the laminar airflow i.e. where a thin layer of air "sticks" to the inside surface of the pipe and "runs" along it. This\'ll reduce the efficiency of the intake by slowing the air supply down noticeably.

It\'s a good solution on a budget, though, well thought out.

put simply i could afford it! i was on a buddget! if i had all the money in the world then i would have got an after market ecu and got rid of the afm and then had it on map and then been able to have a fully custon hard pipe system put in but hinesight is a wonderful thing but in the real world it dont help. lol

Like I said, it\'s a good solution on a budget! :)

That is one phat gear knob dude! Car looks awesome.. I sometimes wish i had got a red one.. I would remove all black from the car then stick some nice white 17s on it.. white on red is just the sex.

dthebuk

cheers man. Agree with removing the black trim. I was gunna do it, but then i decided i wanna go down the TII or FD route so im gunna save the money for those :D
