just fitted ali AST, few questions...

finally got round to fitting a WGT seperation tank, but found a few little niggling things that could be problems. would really appreciate some more experienced help!

hose clamps: can i reuse the old ones, at least temporarily, or should i go and buy some new ones?

coolant level: i lost a little bit (around half a litre) of coolant but i topped back up using the normal filling cap. i did keep giving the big pipe underneath a few squeezes until the level remained constant. will i need to check/top up my coolant the first few times i drive the car?

the old hose clamps should be okay, but if you can you may aswell get some new ones... as for coolant level, have a check after the first few times you drive it, usually if the level is too low the coolant buzzer will go off, if this happens simply top up as required

both the ast and the thermostat housing seem to be full to the top with coolant, so all should be cool. will carry a small bottle of distilled water with me just in case!
