my apexi pfc is rowing its way from japan :Giggle and should arrive in about 2 weeks time :driving
what are peoples thoughts to mapping the pfc to an fc with no boost controller? would this be a waste of time and best fit a boost controller at the same time as mapping?

look forward to you thoughts :)
or better still.... anyone got a boost controller for the apexi pfc?

Boost controller is always a good idea when tweeking or tuning the boost lol and make sure you have a decent mechanical boost gauge :)

shaunwil

Could you not set it low with a mechanical one as a stop gap ?

Chat to TonyC....he ran his that way last year and it worked a treat, the Apexi PFC is more than capable so use it.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but can I ask where you got your PFC from? I\'ve had no luck finding any myself (even Endless Racing couldn\'t source me one)

I\'ve got a Greddy Profec b specII on its way for my car. They come highly recommended and decent price too.

I have an Apexi PFC on my FD, Liam, and no boost controller. Boost is more stable now than when I ran with a standard ECU but a de-cat pipe, it was all over the place then.

Ill have my FC next week and she\'s running a PFC and a Blitz boost controller.. Ill hopefully be collecting it next week and might get it mapped for 95octane soon after so Ill let you know how I get on with the whole lot

Nik da G\'R\'eek: i kno u got pfc :Giggle u got hand commander also :Giggle jokes aside.. thanks.. good to know it is running well. what boost levels are you running at?

C-Rex: cool, be good to know how it goes. is it ported? stock turbo? not sure how much boost i can safely run on stock wastegate.
think adereed (i think that was his username) will be interested to know also as he will be running a pfc shortly also :Giggle

It holds stock levels just fine, 10-8-10-ish! Like I said, swapping to a cat from a straight-through made a massive difference to the stability of the boost. A controller\'s on my "to do" list, but it\'s no longer urgent!

sadgoth

not sure on the PFC, but having run the Microtech using just WG spring control and suffered MASSIVE overboost I\'d say be careful out there! Must say the lack of boost controller wasn\'t the primary issue (in fact installing one wrongly is FAR worse... been a steep learning curve these past 12 months !!!)

Loud? Hell yes! :D
