i dont think its a hard job but you need to remove alot of stuff to get at um lol, some parts from underneath, some parts on top but you deffo need the steering colum off which is only 2 nuts n bolts, u`l prob find the worst bit the bloody heat shield when all the nuts round off on you, which mine done, hense the reason it went flying into next doors garden when i  finaly got the fecker off lol... id say 2-3 hours to get them off :)

did mine a while back and some of the bolts were really tight as they had been on the car since 1992, a couple of them snapped

Ah I think it took me a month to get them off. Just doing the odd saturday and sunday mind. However I didn\'t have to take the steering column off.

Worst thing I found was trying to remove the oil feeds on the primary turbo.

Use a lot of penetrating oil on everything!!! Oh and get some of those things for taking off rounded nuts.

Not the nicest job. I was glad that mine was not going back on. One note on the steering the bolts have to come out all the way, the bolt is a retaining pin too.

cheers guys didnt want to take them of but thought i might have to so i can fix my water leak but just got to the primary turbo and have noticed the blades are hitting the side. luckily i bought a second hand turbo as it was cheap and thought 1 day i will need that and here i am just started unbolting it and need it running for monday lol. at least i can fix my water leak easy lol.

I think I was lucky with mine. Basically I managed to get two nuts from the downpipe off, the other two the studs came out with the nuts. As they were diagonal, after un-bolting the downpipe from the mid-pipe, I managed to wiggle the downpipe off the other two studs without needing to take off the steering column

The thing that made mine a nightmare was the Trust 80mm downpipe. There is a lot of plumbing that will only come away in a set sequence. The workshop manual is a very good guide.
