Newton / power ratio of engine dampers

Hey guys...
maybe you could tell me some information.

I´m looking for an Engine damper.
What we can read from other people in here who used expensive or ebay dampers is, that they all work very well.
What I don´t like is, that they are not really dampers, but more some simple tight rubber bushings.

A friend of mine works @ a comany which builds high qual. pneumatic Dampers.
So maybe I can take one of those.
My question now is...
how "strong" has this thing to be??

As my friend aksed me how much Newton the damper has to push.
What do you guys think?!

The answer might be to get a motorbike-style hydraulic steering damper? Something like these:

Then they\'d ideally resist the torque with the equivalent force, the idea being that the harder and faster they\'re deflected, the faster/stronger they resist the force. Most are adjustable nowadays anyway. With that said, I\'ve one of the cheapy nylon bushed dampers and it works fine with the bonus of being maintenance free and not suffering from oil degradation due to heat or anything, which I\'d imagine would also affect a pneumatic one?
