I\'ve just spent two hours trying to find someone to cover me should I buy Craig\'s triple rotor FD (600bhp, roll cage, mods list as long as your arm...)

The only people who can are Adrian Flux at £1084, no trackdays. My current insurers, AON, won\'t touch it, which is annoying as their policy covers trackdays and that\'s primarily what the car is for!

Anyone got any tips on who to try? I\'ve already spoken to Footman James (part of AON anyway), Lifesure, Academy, Hyperformance, Sureterm, Premium Choice and HIC.

If I can\'t find someone to insure it, the dream FD will stay as just that! :(

Sky are covering my heavily modded FC on a limited mileage 2nd car policy for £375 insured as a 425bhp car (more than double the stock power figure)

Loud? Hell yes! :D

Ah, it was Sky I went through for a number of those I listed - they\'re brokers and put me through to Flux, Lifesure, Academy and Hyperformance.

OK, just got a quote from Richard Egger (http://www.richardeggerinsurance.co.uk/), they didn\'t have a problem with it at all and gave me a quote of £937 inc. four trackdays (£90 per day thereafter), 5000 miles per year.

I don\'t think I\'ll better that - Flux wanted £1084 with no trackdays.

Sounds decent, I\'ll check them out when I renew.

I\'ve always found Livingstone Warmans very reasonable on classics policies

I had a quote of £700 ish from Sky, similar hp FD, 38, 3 points for being on the phone and no accidents claims etc. 5+ years bonus on my daily driver, how can insurance be so varied?????

How old are you ?? Try Heritage Insurance. Kev has his monster 20b insured with them at a very good rate !

Have to be over 30 though on the FD !

I tried Heritage and they wouldn\'t quote on my FD. Said i was running more than 50% over the standard bhp figure. So i asked if he was taking the figures from the fly or hub??? He replied by saying "i haven\'t a clue what your talking about i\'m only a broker"

I\'ve just had my renewal back from sky all mods declaird, pushing about 330bhp and it is £492 fully comp and I\'m 29.

Update:

Kicked up a little on the phone as they raised my exess to 500 from 300, so now that\'s back to 300 & then made them kock off their fee for the trouble!!! So I\'m now paying £470!
