That\'s a load of crap. Oil pump is driven from e shaft not the ecu. LOL

If you switch the engine off while the turbo is still spinning it will damage the turbo, end of. Its the same for all turbocharged cars.

Turbo will not be damaged.
The engine oil is pumped to turbo by the engine turning so it will still be getting oil untill the engine stops rotating.

This will only require a quick "blip" or you will gas yourself, mind you I know a few who could gas themselfs without the engine running:Giggle, specialy being Chrismas and all :flamed

Oil pump is driven from the engine - but the oil feed to the turbo is fed from oil pressure in the engine crank and not by the oil pump directly. There is also a small amount of thermosyphon effect which will circulate oil for a short period during cool down.

In any case, you shouldn\'t be switching the engine off after ragging the nuts off it, you will most likely have driven more gently to cool the engine down and so when you do switch off the turbo isn\'t glowing red ;)

It\'s a physical impossibility to stop a turbo (in good working order) spinning before turning the engine off.
