Hi guys

Car failed MOT on having no fog lamp, has the rx7\'s (import) ever had one or do i need to fit one?

What does everyone have on they\'r rex?

Cheers
Mike

they never have one matey, you need to fit one. either convert the drivers side reverse light into a fog light or bolt one on the bottom of the rear bumper.
There are performance cars and then there is the RX-7...........

12.3 second 1/4 mile, terminal speed of 122mph (1st ever drag run on a TO4R)

engine built by....... umm me! now powered by a T51 Kai......

Hi mate.

Ive converted the centre section of the rear lights to be my fog light. Looks good as you dont have a naff looking fog light hanging off your car. The best option is to try and convert one of your old lights into it, its fairly simple and doesnt take too long as long youre handy with snips and crimps.

If you get a tinted foglight bulb from halfords put it in your rear drivers side reverse light cut the feed wire for that light and tape up the harness side. Run a wire front to back and connect to the cut wire on the light side. Thats the back of the car finished. At the front connect the wire from the rear to a switch(mine is illuminated and from maplins) and take a feed from a light source(as fog light should only come on when lights on) and connect that to other connection on switch. Should realy be fused and relayed but your only going to use it once a year for your MOT. hope this helps

There\'s a sticky on here about converting one of the reverse lights.....it\'s easy :) Just make sure you also have an LED next to the switch on the car that comes on with the lights.

also cars over a certain age have to have a third brake light by law

then thats illeagle too fog lights have to be a certain height and brightness

easy thing matey vauxhall vavaros rear fog is clear they use a red bult so what ive done and seen a few is take out the right and side reversing bult and swop it for the red fog light bulb .then cut the cable that goes to the right reverse /new fog light and re wire it to the front of the dash with a new relay and switch easy peasy fog light . can help with a diagram for the relay and switch if you need it
