pop up headlight problem (only going up)

My pop ups are only going up when I tun on the lights. The maunal push button doesn\'t work either, up or down.

any has had this problem and fixed it?

check the 2 earth\'s under the bumper on the support... these caused be problems!

mine had similar problems and it was a lazy eye kit splice into a wire comin from the manual button, still no idea where the lazy eye controller is but i removed the splice and rewired the switch and all is now good:Thumbsup!

mine must of been fitted in japan but somethin worth looking out for coz ya never know ya might have one buried behind the dash somewhere like i did,

I have come across this problem quite a lot on MX5\'s that have similar popup button configuration, when the popup button is disconnected or not working the lights will go up and operate as normal but they wont go down again.
Try replacing your button or checking its still pluged 1st .

Yep, it\'s going to be your manual pop up button mate... eather the plug has come loose from the rear of the plug or it has faild for some reason! I had this with mine last year... it turned out to be the switch itself had poped open, so I just pushed it back together & all has been working ever since!!

perhaps your car is trying to tell you what it wants for christmas?A sleek headlight conversion for example?

well Rob, I already have a sleek headlight kit laying around ;-) but I changed my plans and I\'m going for a lazy eyes conversion. I bought my car with a broken engine and the pop ups ahd a problem the left hand one didn\'t do a thing, the right one just poped up, not down.

So I got a new set of frames and motors, so now they pop up both, but are not going down.

It\'s in the wiring, just checking if anyone else had it and fixed it.
