arse! i forgot to bring my dyno sheet in today to scan it in

Go to the back of the room and stand in the corner lol I should be able to put pics up by the end of the day Era has got me message.
The good thing all three of us have used the same dyno this should give us proper comparisons of different turbo and engine configs.

I am Suspecting the RE manifolds on my REW engine are not adding to much at these boost levels and the FD manifolds are more effective, the RE manifolds dont seem to work to well at low boost as its an older design even though its bigger. RE manifolds are of a collector design where as the FD is a Dynamic pressure design.

My upper and lower intakee manifold is ported so it\'s not quite the same as stock. My throttle body is stock. I saw huge gains from 1.2 to 1.35 which is when I started to have problems with clutch slip.

yep thats what I am thinking , Geff was saying I will get massive gains when I start increasing the boost further.
Do we know what the peak efficency range for the T51R is boost wise? 1.7 Bar I have heard

Do we know what the peak efficency range for the T51R is boost wise? 1.7 Bar I have heard

I ran mine at 1.9 bar a few times and power cannot be compared to 1.7 at all, the egt was the same too, so peak eff definitely not 1.7 otherwise my egt\'s should of shown significant increase at 1.9 bar compared to 1.7 bar.

you have balls driving it at 1.9 :eek!!!!
At least we know the turbo is big enough for our goals, I only want to run tens lol

Timmy

I believe it\'s a similar spec to a gt45

Most efficient at 1.8bar but will make power up 2.5bar.

BlitzBoy

Here we go Brian dyno attached ignore the thick black line as that is my old setup, look at the thin one, comparing my power line to your its almost equal at the beginning
eg 4100rpm you are producing 108rwhp and I am Producing 112rwhp,
at 5500rpm you are producing 300rwhp and I am producing 325rwhp, so the Hbridge edging it here.
But by 6200rpm (cant be exact as different scaling is used) its equal again at 385rwhp
And still equal at 7400rpm when we both hit 470rwhp, at 8200rpm you lose 10rwhp whilst I am still the same, but to be honest there is hardly and difference, the pull is stopped after this.

Hi Timmy, Did you get that graph from Garrett? Don\'t suppose you have any idea where I can get an efficiency graph for an Apexi rx6 turbo kit do you?! its an IHI turbo.

royal

Quote from: bnaellis;559498Mark could you post your dynosheet so I can compare with mine. I want to see the difference across the between the half bridge and a street port in spool up, overall power band, and peak etc please mate.

What causes the little bump in the graph mate?

Thats from garret via a dealer website.

That was the first manifestation of my clutch slip but at the time I did not know it.

The gt45 is more comparable with the hkst62r whether the pressure ratio are like for like with garrett and hks I don\'t know.
