greddy timer counts down constantly ?

any help appreciated guys and gals, just fitted as title and it turns the engine off all right but it counts down constantly and then starts again, and then counts down to zero and starts again ( you get the picture)havent wired up either the handbrake function or the wire that goes to the ECU to prevent folk driving off, there is another wire reddy colour does the unit require a ignition live or a constant live?:chat
