since doing a coolant change my rad light always come on soon after the loud pedal is de-pressed.
when the light is on and the loud pedal is pressed then the light goes off soon after.

the stock temp guage is kinda useless and the aftermarket one i got in there is playing up / not reading a temp (might be due to broken wire but works intermittantly)

would this be signs of a broken water pump?
once the car is started i pressed the loud pedal and can hear water swooshing around in the engin bay.

any help would be most greatful =)

with the air pump removed - you NEED to run a dual alternator pulley or the belt can/will slip on the water pump - and if its doing that - then it aint pumping water

If you are in any doubt then get a new pump - not worth the potential damage.  They are around £100 IIRC - Clive got me one in a hurry a few years back - so give MRP a ring :)
