vaccum box / removing bits that are not needed

can some one tell me what the vaccum box does situated near the alternator and the power steering pump !!
do i need it can it go ?
run a single turbo conversion

Search for a non sequential setup if on stock twins. If on a single turbo it should have been removed.

it is on a single turbo so will remove it and cap it off many thanks
