Squeel on Power Steering Pump Pulley

Alright guys,

Can you help me with the following:

The car has developed a squeel on the Power Steering Pump Pulley.  At first I thought it was the AC pump, however a quick squirt of WD40 on the PS pulley stops it (for a short while only).

Anyone had and solved this?

Am I looking to replace just the pulley or do you think I should get a full 2nd hand PS pump?

Any help much appreciated!

PS pump bearing I guess - They can be rebuilt IIRC - think there\'s details in the manual.
Altenatively, very stupid and insulting question - sure it\'s not the belt?

Hey its not an insult fella, all ides help!

How do you mean the belt, wear and tear?

Ive isolated the squeel to just that pulley and the WD40 temporarily stops it.  All other pulleys are working squeel free!

Yup, coukld just be a knackered old belt
Try and have a look at the surface of it for cracks etc
If it\'s cracked and broken then replaacing it may solve the issue - for about a fiver froma motor factor it\'s worth a go anyways
It could laso be down to incorrect tension on the belt caused by it stretching iwth age.

Ive ordered a new belt from my mate in the trade.  I\'ll then get it tightened and keep my fingers crossed!

Problem now fixed (I think!).  

Replaced the belt and warmed her through (too wet to drive) and no squeel.  

So, easy £7 fix. *Touching lots of wood, with fingers crossed*
