just bought an rx7

hi guys, this is my first post on here!

i\'ve recently bought an rx7 and as much as i love it, i have a couple of questions regarding reliability. It is has had a reconned engine fitted by jimmy\'s 15k miles ago, with the only mods being a cat back exhaust and hks dump valve. the only other mod i want to put on the car is a decat.

would the car be reliable for covering around 200-250 miles a week?or should i stick to my bmw 328?one car or the other will have to go as i cant afford to run both at the moment!

if you put a decat on you might get boost spikes, then you will need an Apexi ECU and have it mapped.

They are reliable if they are serviced correctly, the more modded you go the less reliable you make the car

ill leave the decat idea for the mean time, so servicing every 4000-5000 miles and the car will be fine for taking the mileage?

no problem... we have regular meets round lakeside etc every other Saturday evening...:driving

yep regular oil changes are the most important thing in a rotary as well as making sure the cooling system is tip top

do an oil change every 2000 miles bud, i used to do mine once a month no matter how many miles i done

yeh i do mine every 3000 miles on any of my cars.
