Enjoy it, its a great feeling knowing that you have rebuit your own engine, its not such a difficult job, not that many parts in a rotary block, can only recommend that you get the rebuild dvd. it will help a lot to do some jobs correctly, stick to Mazda parts,

Yes I agree, use Mazda parts. In my opinion, the only reason aftermarket manufacturers have started making engine rebuild parts, is because they could make them cheaper, not better.
We use Mazda in all our customer rebuilds, the drag car used all stock Mazda rebuild parts, so does Steves (highest BHP in Europe).

I thought Atkins kits were all OEM?

Every time i see a thread like this it makes me think abotu ripping my perfectly good but 14 year old water sealed engine apart to renew the seals before it goes, and add a port or 2...

Jim_rx7

Yeah... that\'s what I\'m planning on doing mate. Porting and re-newing everything.

Then that way, I should have some peice of mind.

With the roads near you, get it done ASAP :D (took a holiday in Innerleithen recently - best roads I have ever driven round there, you\'re a lucky man!)

Jim_rx7

Yeah... the roads are good fun round here!
