I owned an FD for 2 years, I never once came across rear wheel steering, but apparently this model for sale on the MLR does

haha! #;o)

One thing though - the rims are pucka and nearly as expensive as he states! Quite like the interior too.....

I thought I\'d give ya all a laugh. Shame because the car looks nice. I viewed far more rotten ones when looking for mine a few years ago. It\'s still the best car i\'ve owned

I always thought the FD has passive rear wheel steering, similar to porsches:2Rolleyes

With the state of my trailing arm bushes at the mo, i\'ve got passive rear wheel steering :D

AtomicRex

Thats because youve taken them off the car!

I was under the impression the FD used a similar system to the FC\'s DTSS?

Timmy

official figure 4.9sec. Tho your average launch will probably be close to 5.5sec.

I read a few times that it had the old passive rear wheel steering - dunno where I read it though!

UK spec FC\'s have toe control rear wheels which many get muddled up with rear wheel steering but as far as im aware there are no FD\'s out there with rear wheel steering.

mmm
Thing is im after an fd and thats right up my street.
But i was looking for 99spec tbh. Oh well.

I read in a mates jap performance book that the FD does actualy have passive rear steering..... but then again in the next paragraph they said that they did a limited run of 4wd FD\'s aswell !!!!!

I remember years ago going around a round about in an EGI  (Gen 2) on feeling the back "move" and then pulling up and checked out the rear end,

Yes I knew the hub arms flexed to give rear steer but didn\'t realise it could seem a little violent at times, no problem once you learn how it should feel.

Yes there was an official 4WD RX-7 but this was Mazda\'s still born Group S rally car, circa 1986 (Gen 2),

Group S was to replace Group B but with one too many rally drivers killed B and S was scrapped buy the FIA and WRC was born and in doing so Mazda  killed off their prototype Group S  4WD RX-7

BTW The only way a stock FD has rear steer is when the 2nd Turbo spools up and kicks the bum out   http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxmk696YYGB%2526i%253D36%252F36%255F11%255F6%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank">http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_11_6.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0">http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D36%252F36_11_6/image.gif">
