I have just bought a Garrett turbo that has been full rebuilt, its got a 1.15ar hotside and a 0.6ar cold side, this however isn\'t the problem. I thought it was a T4 flanged turbo and lined up the turbo with my T4 manifold I have (im new to aftermarket turbos and didn\'t know the T4 bit can refer to the hot side outlet as well) anyhow I thought that this might be a divided T3 turbo so I could get an adaptor, but it seems like it isn\'t that either :(

Here are the specs of the turbo flange:

11cms by 7cms flange size
9cms by 5 cm hole to hole size
6.25cm by 4.25 centre (but its a divided flange)

can anyone help at all?

Below is the turbo against my T4 manifold:

how sure are you its not a t3?

me again - im just a wealth of info !! LOL

4.3 inch = 10.92200 centimeters
4.25 inch = 10.79500 centimeters
3.75 inch = 9.52500 centimeters
2.75 inch = 6.98500 centimeters

so the 11cm * 7 cm = 4.3inch * 2.75

sooooooo according to me - thats a T3 flange ( ish ! )

Thanks :) I think there are a few options I can do after I check the clearance for the turbo and manifold.

1. Check the size of the spacer and see if I can convert T3-T4
2. Change the exhaust housing (the ar is 1.15) cause its HUGE lol ie change to say a 0.8ar exhaust side with a T4 fitting
3. Sell it

For a streetported engine (ie after I get mine rebuilt before the turbo goes on) what is the average AR hot side for turbos on here? I mean the T04Z can have an AR of 1.0, this turbo has an AR of 1.15 lol
