The carbon kit your looking at in your pics is the Amemiya 2002 wide body kit which is the road going version of there Super GT car (from 2002). Those rear arches are gonig to be about 50mm too short in width compared to the race going versions.

If your going to do it right you need to get the whole kit then tweak it - if your not liking the rear end. The Revolution car is based on Amemiyas 2005 Super GT car but they have tweaked it. The other aspect is you couldn\'t drive it on the road since it\'d be 20mm from the ground!

I\'m sure to buy the kit it will be at least 15K! But the custom tubular chassis and custom suspension arms will cost you at least another 15K before you\'ve even started on the engine lol! Good luck to you though I\'d have done the same had I enough funds!

I don\'t want to sound like I\'m trying to put you off ,but I researched and went through a similar process before going for a road/circuit car option rather than a trailor queen. Happy to offer you any help if you want to drop me a PM. :)
Cheers

Royal - the reason the road going Super GT kit looks odd is because the car sits so much higher than the race version, just look at the space between the top of the tire and the top of the arches on them!! 6 inchs compared to 1 inch!
Cheers

The RE-A GT300 car is a semi tubular car (that\'s why the bonnet can go so low between the lights. There is no way to get the race body properly fittd without doing some serious cutting of frame work....

The hood is in stock location, it`s just the fenders that are raised up alot...:yes

The kit will fit without cutting, but it would look strange.
Because u couldnt run the wheels u should..

Hm... this kit has nothing to do with the kit, discussed here.
btw. you´ve maybe recognized how low the car is.
So it´s not only done with buying a bodykit and then you have a car like that.
They have push-rod Suspension setups etc. for sure.
I bet the suspension alone will cost as much as a standard Rx-7 :Hammer

If u hade used your eyes u would have seen that the comment was on the Re GT 300 kit, and not the Revolution kit..

And second if u se the gap between the wheel and the fenders on the Revolution car, it not that different from standar..

And u could buy the suspension kit from AtomicRex and u would probably get away with minimum of cutting in front..

The rear u would have to do same as I have done on my car, mabye some more.
But that would be no problem..

i\'m not going the whole hog to try & re produce the car to the same tech specs as the actual race version itself, i\'m more after trying to get the styling right on the front end. granted its going to have to sit very low for it to look right but if i can get the front arches, bonnet & front bumper then i shouldbe able to tweek things enough to make it fit & look how i want it to. the arches come higher than the normal bonnet line & the bonnet itself is flared at the edges to meet the arches & the arches curve round at the front to meet the bumper so i\'d need to get all 3 for it to sit right together. perhaps be better getting it in fibreglass so its easier to re mould & fit to my car.

Tango

i dont think the GT300 kit looks too bad on this one but i\'d still want the top curve of the front arches to come higher like on the TA2 & push the wheels out slightly to meet the arches better... then the bonnet too to flare up to meet the arches

fingers crossed if i can get the arches in fibreglass i should be able to fettle it enough to fit. then i can have the bonnet & maybe the bumper in carbon.

i sent one last week & they replied saying it\'d be difficult to fit so for that reason they dont/wont sell it. i replied saying how much i wanted the kit & if they could help me get it with the arches in fibreglass i\'ll make it fit one way or another... i\'ve told them i\'ll plaster their logo on the car when its done & did some general brown nosing to try and pursuade them to help me get it... hopefully i\'ll get a reply to that one tomorrow morning. i\'ll just keep mithering them until i get somewhere lol:spank

I was refering to the REAL RE-A GT300 race car they use in the JApanese Touring championship. That\'s the car/kit that is in the first oictures. The yellow an white cars are just the \'road\' kits, which are totally different.

I have the magazine at my house where the RE-A GT300 race car has bene dismantled to the bone chassis.

The kits are nowhere near thesame
