Hi Steve,

I think for now it\'s best to stop looking at the horse power and find out,

a, what boost pressure is being achieved.

b, if it\'s even holding this pressure consistently,

c, what has to be done to rectify the boost problem.

If it can\'t make boost and hold it there , it can\'t make power.
All the best Clive

If he fit the turbos then yes, If hes just tuning it then no.

dunno if there is a seperate boost controller?

I think you need to know mod by mod what exactly has been done to your car, what happens if you ever come to sell the car?? aint gonna look too good if you dont actually know whats been done.  You need to know exactly what hes done

If you just have a pfc controlling the boost by the standard solenoids you may well not be able to control the boost over 0.8bar.

BlitzBoy

lol guys guys guys, we need to find out what boost level it ran to hit 311, once we know that we can tell if the turbos are healthy.
So lets wait till Monday, my money is on solenoid problem not allowing it to build boost and keeping the wastegate open

jurgen

he might of only mapped to .8 .7 ??

rx jamie

i think its just the fact it hasnt got a boost controller on it and its still running on factory boost control. the boost wont increase to 1.4 bar just off an ecu map.
i havent a clue what sort of max boost the stock actuators can hold either

BlitzBoy

the most boost the stock solenoid will handle "stable" would be just under 1 bar.
.7 Bar you would defo get more then 311 at the fly with those turbos, decat etc etc
I reckon it probably only hit 0.5 Bar

The Stocks can get a bit iffy after stock pressure but all you need is a pressure regulator reducing the pressure to stock levels on the line feeding the solenoids off the front vac chamber. Mod is quite well documented on rx7club

Its way too early to get worried over it. We haven\'t got the full info and no doubt it will be sorted and scare you silly :D
