Hiya,
Can anyone help shed some light on how to connect an HKS SSQV SEQUENTIAL B.O.V. to a Type R?  My original Dump Valve has a completely different fitment.  The thick air feed pipe simply is pushed over a lip and held on with a metal ring.  The new HKS dump valve has a hole on the under side of it which the same pipe must be attached to - but theres nothing I can see on the dump valve to attach the pipe too?
thanks!

There\'s a specific attachment from HKS that fits onto the bottom of your SQV with a large circlip.  Its a standard part that they keep in stock.  I\'ve just fitted on to my RII.

Hi,
Thanks very much for the info.  You couldnt please tell me the number of HKS that you rang and the product description and item number could you?
Thanks mate  :)

Call HKS Europe on 01480 861997 and speak to Garry or Nathan.  I think it\'s a standard 30mm SQV mount you want - they\'ll know what you mean, and will be able to arrange for you to order one through a dealer.

Cheers

Got a problem.  :(  I called HKS and spoke to Nathan, who told me they can\'t supply me with the RX7 mount as it must come with the original complete kit for the specific car.  They can supply me with an evo mount they have lying about (20mm) but I assume thats too small as you thought it was a 30mm mount.  Any ideas please?!?
cheers

20 mm Will be fine - it\'s only a 20mm outlet on the Y pipe anyway.

Hi,
Got the EVO 20mm mount from HKS, had to modify the pipe slightly as its a little bigger than 20mm but thats sorted.  Problem I\'m having is fitting the circluar clip as I dont have th correct tool indicated on the instructions accompanying the B.O.V.  Did you fit your own, and if so, do you have the tool and would be able to tell me whats its called and where I may get one?  Ive never seen a tool like it before!  Its like a pair of tongues but each of the \'grippers\' are armed with upward facing \'spikes\' to pass through the wholes in the clip and thus bring the clip together.
Also, you wouldnt happen to know what the small black plastic thing is that youre meant to place on the smaller pipe would ya?

You need to get yourself a pair of circlip pliers. Should be able to get them from any decent tool shop, or the bigger halfords etc.

Circlip pliers?  Excellent!  Now I can get on fitting the B.O.V.  :D   Thanks very much  :wave

Make sure you get the right type tho, there are two types: one that compresses the circlip (the type you want) and one that expands them. Good luck getting it fitted, I\'ve got an older HKS dump valve on mine and it sounds shit-hot!

Waaaaaaaaaa Ptssssccccchh!! Waaaaaaaaaa Ptsssssscchh!!

God I miss driving my FD......can you tell?  :(

The small black plastic thing is an air filter to go inline on your vacuum pipe.  Never really understood why you would need one as the vacuum is taken from your intake manifold - you\'d kinda hope it didn\'t have too much shite in it!!!
