Rev counter problems

Yesterday i noticed my rev counter has started reading to high over night.  either that or all my gear ratios have changed ha ha
 
Has anyone else encounted this problem?
 
55mph was about 2.5rpm in fifth, its now over 3rpm
 
someone please tell me its a quick fix

It could be on it\'s way out? It\'s a known fault and the capacitors crap out I think. Mine needs replacing as doesn\'t work at all.
