Well.. tonight i managed to remove some of the rear wiper that was still attached.. and then obviously have a lovely big gaping hole left from where it all came off.. now, what could i use to fill it i asked myself.. i\'m a big of a gaming geek and own some arcade machines.. i always had it in my head i would try use some button plugs (they go in button holes on a control panel if you don\'t want any buttons in a certain part)... which to my surprise actually pretty much fit perfect.. but i felt i should take my gaming obsession a little bit further.. so i ran up the stairs and grabbed an old 1player arcade button and whacked it on!.. worked an absolute treat!.. probably not to everyones taste but i thought what the heck, no one else will ever have done it.. (maybe this is why haha..). Anyways, if only i could hook it up to open my boot! haha.. so yeah, i think this has to be a worlds first?

needs a bit of a polish and maybe straightened up but here are some pictures..

now if you some how magicall managed to hook that up so it opens your boot.....that would be the coolest thing ever.

as its stands its still pretty awesome, good work

Glad you guys all like it!

Ada7 - I have thought about this.. I will probably seal it from the bottom.. but to be honest i have never driven this car in the rain/wet and don\'t plan too. it is kept in a nice dry garage for sunny days.. :) . The only time it will be exposed to water is when im washing it. I will just be very careful when it comes to that area.

Ada7

Thats cool then. Is a funny touch. Your gonna get loads of people pushing it while your at shows and stuff to see what happens. Maybe you should wire it up to some sort of speaker that goes off. Could be some voice just saying \'You just had to go and push it didnt you\' :rollin

i was thinking flames from the exhaust! That would stop them from pushing it again anytime soon! :)

Ada7

I did think that but then there\'s the whole police and court case thing that\'ll follow. Just hassle really :rollin

Or like in "The Hitch-Hiker Guide to the Galaxy", have a light that comes on in red saying "Danger. Do not press this button again".

Just seal it with black Loctite silicone sealant/adhesive. Nothing shifts that stuff once its set, certainly will be waterproof. Its held my rear lights together with no leaks for two years

You\'ve got to hook it up to the rear washer. Angle the washer up slightly first so that people get wet!
I\'m sure you will be able to hook it up to the rear hatch/lock if you really want to. You\'d need to have remote central locking though to stop anyone just pushing the button to get in. My other FC has had the doors de-locked in this fashion and has a hidden button to open the doors. Although you still need at least one key lock just incase the battery dies so you can still get in to pop the bonnet.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

haha.. i\'m thinking something more simple like making some sort of a noise.. i\'m thinking the sound of a toy car reving up or something would be fun.. i\'ll have a tinker with it soon.. i will try something away from the car first and in the comforts of my own room.. as i have loads of buttons..

to be honest these aren\'t the style of buttons i would use on an arcade machine.. these are more American style push buttons.. where as my machines are candy cabs from Japan and have more flush and less chunky looking buttons.. but none have the little single player logo on them so no one would really get it..

Now all you need is an Atari ST joystick, and a flat screen TV mounted outward facing in the rear window, and all your retro dreams can come true :)
