Well folks winter is just around the corner and I am wanting to change the headlight bulbs o my TII. The question is should I just replace the bulbs like for like or can I pop some better brighter ones in? If so what do you recommend? I can\'t afford a HID kit though:(

I have tried all those brighter ones before, blue ones, yellow ones, brighter than white lights, none of them were ever brighter than my standard ones nor did they last that long either.. They may have looked brighter but never really lit the road up as I expected and in most cases I was worse off.  Go for HID, you can get a set for about £80.

The best one\'s I found before going with HID\'s were the Halfords All Weather bulbs - they aren\'t mega bucks, and seem to light up road signage and markings way better than a stock H4 bulb.  Tried the blue\'s and philips bright bulbs - they didn\'t do that much more than stock ones.

One of the best things you can do is make sure you get a good pair of housings - my original ones were lacking a lot of the reflective surface due to corrosion - even if you go with HID\'s - new or newer housings will make a world of difference. :cheers

I have Prof\'s old all weather bulbs in my FC (thanks :D) they seem to be ok actually, of course HIDs are the best, but the all weather 1s are pretty good.

i\'ve been told by a few people that the jap headlights (where the bulbs are built into the housing as one piece) are bit brighter than uk lights.
with that in mind.. if you have the ones with replaceable bulbs then i\'d be more than happy to swap the whole housing with you :Giggle

just so i can fit my HID\'s onto my fc ;)

I presume that I can just swap out my bulbs like in any of my previous cars.

100W bulbs are illegal on UK roads, plus HIDs are way way brighter (and legal) and don\'t kick out as much heat :)
