I have a knocking sound comeing from the rear nearside wheel arch. Its a constant knocking as the susspension goes up and down. Obvisley the bumper the road the worse it is. Could this be worn bushes

g11ary

It does sound like it, get it to a garage or get under and have a look around as this seriously affect your handling.

rx7ben

Ok will do. Do you no if this is a exspensive job and where i might get the parts :Giggle

AtomicRex

We can refurbish your wishbones if you like?

We are powerflex dealers so can stick some poly bushes in there...or replace the original bushes if you\'d prefer.

The other thing we can do is replace the spherical bearings and clean them up as good as new!!

I think your a bit to far away from me :Giggle but could you give me prices on the above please.

How can i tel if the problem is one of the above because i would prefer not to replace the lot if there is no need

AtomicRex

Ah, but I come through Reading every day!

Picked up a diff and carried it back on the train and delivered it back a week later at the train station, so certainly not an issue.

either Email or PM your telephone number and we can arrange something

rx7ben

The problem is its my daily car so i cant have you taking bits away with you. :Giggle

Plus we dont no what the problem is yet you could change something that doent need changing :mmmm:mmmm

AtomicRex

As said...send me your number and I will ring you at 12 if you like....and next week I can arrange to meet you and take a look.  If it what it sounds like, I can take the car over to the workshop, and if necessary leave you car.  When we are finished we will set up all of the geometry, so camber, and toe, plus corner weights.

Nik da Greek

Sorry to jump on your thread a bit, Ben, but can I just ask how much a full geometry and alignment set-up would cost, Jon? Is it something you could do while-u-wait, cos it\'d be a bit far for me to leave the car with you, too! I\'ve been meaning to get mine sorted out for ages, dunno anywhere local to go though.

Hijack over, soz! :Thumbs-up

AtomicRex

Im sure we would make you welcome enough!

It takes approx 3 hours....depends on any problems though, but you get all of the corner weights sorted, so we will try and get the car to be as close to 50-50 split on diagonals and front to rear.  You get the toe set up, and the cambers set up.

You wont get the corner weights set up on a 4 wheel alignment.

Coffee is free ;)

Yeah, thanks, Jon, like Ben said, rough price idea?
