Got near home and when I took foot off the throttle pedal the engine died. Can\'t get it to start up again !! Walked it home with the help of some nice passerbys.

Not sure if it is that but I have the sinking feeling that it is pooped. Changed the front oil seal over about 8 weeks ago and I\'m not sure if I\'ve messed up the end float.

Can anyone recommend a good place to get a TII bare block ? May need one very soon as its my daily driver :Hammer

Cheers

Yep its an EGI engine. Will have a proper look today. Hopefully the engines fine and its something wrong with the gas supply.

I\'ll know better this afternoon !

Could be the solenoid or blocked filter. It does get driven quite hard. It\'ll be back in one piece very quick :Giggle

Well after About 3hrs of tinkering its running again :D

When I setup the gas carb I had added some foam strips to improve the seal on the filter. It seems that last night it was sucked into the workings of the carb. When you swap to petrol it lifts the middle bit up and stops the carb venturi from sucking. The foam bit got wedged in this bit and ruin the vacuum on the venturi !

Not sure if its firing on all the plugs either and doesn\'t seem to want to tick over. Tried to adjust it but didn\'t want to play. Leading firing fine, but trailing arn\'t

Will get all my filters changed and get it booked back in for a dyno session and checkup.

Engine started up from hot while trying to sort out the tick over and showed good compression when I took the trailing plug out, 3 good poofs for front and rear !

Thankfully it was something simple :D

Its always the last thing you check :Giggle

We had even dragged it to the petrol station and filled the gas tank :Hammer

The system does need a service and some fresh filters. Done about 10k miles since this time last year !

Er, not completely :Hammer

Its not wanting to Idle when I come to a stop now. It just dies. Turn the key and when warm it ticks over. Rev engine and when it drops down to idle it dies. Makes for some interesting driving !

Any ideas ???? I\'m not sure if one of my ignitors isn\'t firing.

Just a Quicky update :D

Made up the test rig to check my J-109 pickups and they all tested good. Cleaned up and re pasted them to the dizzy. Swapped the Spark plug leads over for some ones ordered off Rock auto ($15 for 7mm leads, plus $35 for postage !) and it seems to be ticking over when I let off the loud pedal again :D

Just need to work out why my headlights aren\'t going down now :Giggle Been doing it on and off since owning the car ! Could do with doing the relay trick as well to improve the headlights !

Cheers
