Just had an RX7 in with a mad rev counter! It\'ll vary wildly from 4kRPM on tickover then goes to over 10k RPM when revd gently........any ideas??
Thanks in advance,
Dave.

hi Dave its common problem with rx7 rev counters, do a quick search loads have had a problem.
its to do with dry joints on the board.
I replaced mine, think i have 1 spare will have to check £35 posted if you want it.

Its usually the capacitors on the back of the gauge have grown and degraded. You can re-solder new ones in if your that way inclined.
