Quote from: adereed;539433Didn\'t Bilstien do a blue damper that fits the FC. I had a pair of the yellow ones on mine when I got it.

the yellows could be koni\'s? seen a few about

No mine we\'re Bilstiens. Still had the stickers on when I took them off. Still have them under my work bench. Stock springs just Bilstien dampers.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

Yeah the fronts were stock. but It had a strut brace on the front so was nice and stiff. To be honest It worked really well as the Bilstiens were that bit harder. Kinda miss them a little. Well not that much mow I\'ve got my coilovers!

I would think they would fit.  don\'t think the mountings would be any different. Would be to expensive to make 2 different set ups for a production line. Might be worth asking on here though. Make me an offer and I\'ll consider selling them.

looks like they\'ll fit. I have no idea about price though tbh.

any idea what kinda mileage they\'ve done?

i\'d guess around 40-50 quid for the pair with springs. But like i said, i have no idea

Not sure of the milage. But the car was rebuilt and had a lot of uprated work done at the same time by a previous owner (he raced the car) this was done around 25k-30k ago. The shocks are in good working order. The only reason I swapped them out was because I had a leak on one of the original front shocks so I bought a full set of coilovers to replace it. I was thinking more along the lines of £100 for the pair to be honest. What do you reckon?
I\'ll get some pic\'s up next time I go to work for you. Then you know what your looking at.

hey all,

guess what..........

...........more chuffin problems!!

Yesterday on the way back from the meet my alternator belt snapped!

I managed to limp th car to the services where i could see it properly and i bought an emergency fan belt thing I have never used one before and I dont know everyone elses experience with these, but this one was made by a company called metro and it was absolutely ****e.
I did everything it said on the packet, I turned the engine over and after 2 seconds it snapped! not at the join tho, half way down the actual belt, consequently i had to phone my recovery service and they dragged me home.

Anyway, this morning i put a new belt on and realised why the belt had snapped in the first place, It was running out of line.

Some \'half a job\' ****in bell end had replaced the alternator and put the spacer which goes inbetween the bracket and the alternator on the wrong side of the bracket, which offset the alternator, caused the belt to run out of line and snap. had I been travelling any slower would have probably cost me an engine :2Mad

I wish these bloody idiots who dont have a clue would just leave things they dont know about, well alone. Or just ask somebody who knows what he/she is talkin about, it only takes 2 mins to ask someone and can save an engine and a whole lotta hassle!

Anyway we sorted it now and it runs perfectly in line!!

Anyone else currently experiencing problems with jobs these ****in cowboys \'think\' they can do?

Get that dual alternator pulley on pronto. And yeah those temporary belts are sh*te. I\'ve only ever tried to use one once and it was a nightmare.
