Alloys, 17" 18" or 19"??

Out of curiosity, whats the opinions and potential difficulties on wheels sizes?  

Is going as large as 19" worth it or just silly?

from my experience 17" seem to be the optimum size for performance and handling, 18" are a good compromise as they have the looks also....and 19`s are really for show...more than go.

although its not only down to size, weight of the wheels as well as correct tyre sizes and of course tyre quality is vital.

17s! Had heavy 18s on mine, changed them for light, 17s-
 Much better Ride
 Much better Handling
 Tyres are cheaper too
