Yes it will be done.
My buddy Ryan called me today and told me that Peter (my buddy works there at PFS) told him that if my buddy bought one. Peter would pay for all the R&D to get a turbo kit made for one. Peter wants to expand form the Lexus IS300\'s and 7\'s to the 8.
Needless to say Ryan is selling his RX7 now.

So Ryan  will have not only one of the first RX8\'s but he will be one of if not the very first one to break 450 HP.

Good stuff, please keep us up to date on this.

I have heard various stories that there isn\'t any room for a turbo manilfold and exhaust to fit.

Also, with the rotors being such high comp. - it will be interesting to see how it all works out.
Thanks,

I have to agree Im interested to see how they get it working. I can tell you that the Lexus kits they make are badass!!
I can only imagine how insane this rx8 is gonna be.

why to modify?
first examples of 15A engine with turbo are running. Please wait about 1 Year, and you will get the best rotary engine mady by NSU and optimized by Mazda ever!

You will be able to go just more than 450 HP on this engine.

Hi all,

well my info is insecure.  I have also just heard about. I have no pics, no data.

The new 15A should be used couse of better power on low RPM. By looking at Renesis engine, you have best conditions, to go for H2. The 13B engine was at the \'70 more economy than the 15A engine, but have had lower torque on low RPM. The 15A was developed to extend the torque, but was kicked from the program couse of oil craisis in the early \'70.
Now depending on the development of the Renesis, the 15A is more economy by increasing the torque and power   by comparison to 13B. You have now the option to elect data for running on H2 in the future, by ofering enogh power for future  requirements.

The 13B engine is running for over 20 years. Now Ford ( Mazda ) wanna elect data, of the "beter" 15A.  To ofer reliable H2 car.

The other manufactorer like BMW have allready some H2 cars running, but them are not reliable with there piston engines and the costs are to high. Ford have no cars that could run with H2 exept Mazda rotary. Now to get the engines more reliable, Mazda should test varios engines powered by gasoline. By looking at results (technical problems like water that enters to the combustion chamber on 13B) to new materials for seals etc... Ford wanna look what the best variant for H2 should be.
