I used to like it when I worked at Asda and people would come up to me and ask "Do you work here?" very time I wanted to reply with " No I just like to fit in so I dress like this you stupid blind ugly mother f****r!" I mean seriously who wears a bright green waist coat and a name badge with happy to frickin help on it unless they work at Asda!

second question.. How come yesterday i could see items for sale on the main forum but now i can\'t seem to see anything? I know i definetly seen it as i was looking some spoilers for sale.. now i can\'t a thing.. :(

EDIT - Why the hell do i always spell the headers wrong?.. especially on a thread like this! hahaha...

Always professed from day one of MRC that there is no such thing as a stupid question on this club , the only stupid question is the one you don\'t ask that then costs money, aggro or both
All the best Clive

That\'ll be most questions you don\'t ask about these cars then Clive aye!

Thank you very much Clive. This is a great forum you have here! Everyone is very helpful and down to earth. :) Once i get some bits and bobs for the car and im back on my feet i\'ll need to become a full member.

As a tip, when you do fill the oil, make sure:
*) to pour just a little in at a time
*) check the dipstick carefully after adding each little bit
*) leave a few seconds before checking, to let the oil level equalise

and don\'t do what i did, which is pour in a couple of litres, and then find you\'ve totally overfilled it and have to call the RAC out :Hammer

And you really will need to check the dipstick carefully - mines just been overfilled again, despite me having an RAC engineer with me whilst I was doing the oil (he was fitting a car alarm, but he agreed to watch the dipstick for me, and check i was doing it right :)) - checked once, it was below full - add a mouthful (or what would be a mouthful if you was willing to pour it into your mouth!) - and it suddenly jumped a couple of inches up the stick - engineer said he\'d never seen it do that before :3Confused

So - mines going on a truck to be taken for a checkup in the next day or so...  Just hoping I can sort it before the weekend!

awww man thats not so good.. thanks for the tips anyways! I checked the oil yesterday and there seems to be an XXX marking on the stick.. the oil is sitting perfectly in the middle of the middle X. i take it thats where it should be?

batman

if you do over fill dont start the engine just undo the sump plug bolt and drain some out no need for rac

Alas, it turns out the lease for where i live explicitly prohibits working on the car... to the level of not being allowed to wash it on site!  Given that I\'m still getting grief for the last time I had the RAC in to look at it, it has to be the RAC flatbed and a local garage :2Mad
