what slicks on stock fd 16"s??

Right then im gonna do a few runs at ultimate street car at santa pod in august and there is no way i am doing them on my 20\'s not a chance.
So im nipping down to essex some time soon to buy some standard 16" from an fd.
I would like to run it on slicks but would like to know the best sizes i should get for front and rear.

Should i go for the biggest, thickest possible for rear?? if so what size and make and where to get from?, what about tire pressures for all 4?.
Im a novice to this but want to do the best i can, any help??
