Well here she is.. I just washed her so i thought id take some pics.. also took some of my civic which unfortunately hadn\'t been washed yet!.. so its a bit dirty!. Still got alot i want to do to the RX7.. if anyone ever hears from that Ben dude who was going to sell me his bonnet please let me know.. as he never replied to my email. :(

Oh, and i think its the FC RX7 badge i have on the back but its alot nicer than the RX7 FC one i got from eBay so i have decided to keep it on..

Anyways.. enjoy!

I would love some new rear lights.. its just trying to find them! I don\'t its a volt meter but there is a meter in place of the volt meter.. unless it is a volt meter and its the boost meter i don\'t have.. i\'ll wait until they are arrive and see what i can do..

dthebuk

your best bet is to ask around on hear, put something in the wanted section :D

u should trade ur fc for a white TII fc.. n trade ur civic to an older shape one.. then u can start ur collection of Initial D cars lol
im sure u can find a redsun sticker on flebay lol
2 doritos on a stick woohoo :rollin

Retro_Boy_G

Ha ha my parents would kill me if i swapped it already.. plus the insurance is high enough for me on this.. never mind a turbo!.. Although i love all civics i think the 2005 model is the nicest :).

I take it i need to pay if i want to access the wanted section then?.. Just out of interest.. how much should i expect to pay for a new bonnet with the scoop?

Gianni

Brett

Leave it exactly as it is - the early EGI\'s are very rare.  :)

I would love the bonnet with the scoop.. Here is a very very very bad paint edited picture of how i want it to look.. no laughing at my paint skills! haha..

RotorHeid

F\'like
I\'m frae Aberdeen and are you still looking for white turboII bonnet as it\'s laying aboot at my hoose
interesting? make me a offer!

Retro_Boy_G

Hey Heid,

I honestly have no idea of the value of these boots to be honest.. I guess i would need to know if you would be willing to package it up and have it couriered to Glasgow first..

Gianni

RotorHeid

or come up to aberdeen and i can change it as it takes a few mins and tie to your bonnet on rx\'s roof ;)

Moonwrap

Welcome to the club - hope you enjoy your 2nd gen! ;)

It looks like a pretty standard 1st version of the early series 4 non Turbo Egi, except for the wheels and the RX7 badge on the left side of the boot. (There was a later series 4 with amongst other things a larger black spoiler, power steering, moulded rear badges rather than decals, shiny wheels rather than matt - I like to unofficially think of this one as a "4.5" LOL :))

You really don\'t see very many of the these earlier S4 in the condition your appears to be in, so I\'m going to be really controversial here (and I do LOVE customised 2nd gens too) and say in my opinion in many ways it would be a shame to change it - please give it all some serious thought! :( I think the contrast of the black and white is very striking and the Egi is a lovely looking car in it\'s own right! :) Standard cars can be as lovely when a clean example as a customised one and much rarer :) It may never be as head turning with some peeps, but it will be special :)

You really seem to be visualising the later TII version which is all colour coded.. i.e spoiler and rubbing strips, mirrors etc...

I think if you are addicted to fitting aftermarket or TII parts to it, (then if this car is as good as it looks it might be i.e solid and 98% standard) you should try to keep the original Egi parts too as it will keep the car\'s value if anyone in the future wants to put it back to standard again - just best of both worlds! :)

I\'m a big fan of the Egi\'s having an original later version myself :) In support of them, although not as quick as the TII, they are deliciously smooth to drive and alot of fun! Normally the floor is more resistant to rust, being thicker metal and the engines last longer than the TII\'s. They are also a perfect starter RX7 and you may find you start collecting more! LOL!

If you want to get the real badges, then to be honest they really are not a fortune from Mazda (and not dodgy quality like Ebay\'s can be). Just jot down your chassis number and they\'ll get them for you. I would imagine the decal badge would be around £6.00 + vat approx.

I do hope that you\'ll get loads of info off here and start to feel confident to tackle at least some of the servicing yourself - you will save £\'s, learn alot which will be useful to you always and above all know what\'s been done to your car and really bond with it! :)

Enjoy!

Rotorheid - I think the trip to Aberdeen would almost be my 1500miles a year allowence! haha.. I\'m not in need that much.. but thanks anyways for the offer.

Moonwrap - Thank you for the welcome dude. I totally appreciate and understand what you are saying about keeping it original.. i personally love the car the way it is but i just think it would look alot better with the certain mods id like to take out on it.. as for resell value i am not bothered about this.. i know what cars are like when it comes to value.. i know no matter what i do i will make a great loss.. but to be honest the car was so cheap anyways its something i am willing to live with.. I hope that when i am finished you guys will be as happy as i am with the car..

My biggest project will be getting it lowered... Can anyone recommend any lowering springs that will fit this car?.. I\'m looking to go pretty low i think.. i don\'t know if low profile tyres will suit this car to be honest... has anyone ever put any on theirs?
