haha well now you have made me feel all old!.. I think its more people looking at the car.. although most probably think its an old 944 haha.. i do feel like im in a ferrari though.. its great.. As far as i know there are no FC\'s around my area at all so i guess people look and wonder what it is.. I\'m just waiting on my RX7 badge coming in and another Mazda badge to paint white and stick to the front of the car..

I think the best experience ive had so far has got to be when a nice big Jag pulled up next to me at some traffic lights and the guy was looking at my car as if he wanted it.. he was pointing with a wow expression on his face.. i felt like the total daddy.. haha!

You know ive barely had the chance to look through this forum yet.. to be honest i\'m sticking to the FC2 section.. Has there been any threads with members cars at all?.. id love to see what some of you guys are driving..

Ricco - You are an Initial D fan?.. :)

I had a look through the gallery thread that dthebuk posted and i noticed 2 cars that seem to be the same as mine.. one of which looked quite heavily modified on the outside..

I have a chrome RX7 badge coming for the back of the car.. what do you think would be best to do.. take off the black mazda badge and replace it with a chrome one to match the RX7 logo.. or paint the RX7 logo black? and put my chrome Mazda logo on the front (painted white). ? Unless anyone has a black RX7 badge they would be willing to part with? and a White Mazda badge.. my painting skills aint the best.. so this of course would be a much easier option for me.. :)

Yes im afraid so!  Still tricking myself into hoping there will be a 5th stage! :chat  Watching them makes me want to go drive :3gears-rh :Laugh

Retro_Boy_G

Is that your car with the Redsuns emblem?.. Initial D is just the best thing ever.. its the main reason behind my new found passion for cars.. My civic has quite a few mods done to it and has an awesome Initial D sticker on the back window.. which the RX7 will also have when its windows have been tinted.. Ive recently imported the PS3 game and im loving it.. i was actually about to buy one of the Initial D arcade machines until i bought the Fc.. haha.. i thought the car was abit more closer to the real thing.. ;)

Ricco_04

Ha ha! Importing the arcade machine deffinately sounds like your addicted! Getting FC was the right idea!  Not got a PS3 yet, didnt know there was Initial D game for it - seen them for the PSP but I dont have one of those either (god im rubbish! :Laugh)

How you getting on with driving the fc - have you nailed the 5 hairpins yet! :Laugh ;)

The FC in my sig is just a picture I got off the net because my FC is very much in bits and labelled a project as not to arise suspicion that its a drawn out task that im very slow at! :chat

Retro_Boy_G

Ha Ha not tried the 5 hairpin bends yet.. Ive not even tried to kick the backside out of the car to be honest.. i\'d love to get into drifting but i don\'t think practicing on public roads is advisable.. i did get a nice wheel spin out of it though.. just getting used to the RWD.. I am loving it though.. having no power steering doesn\'t help matters though.. the car feels abit dated on the inside i feel.. i would really love to change the steering wheel and get some bucket seats.. but i don\'t think they would be as comfey or as practical as the real seats.. i just love how you feel like your arse is scraping along the ground because the seats are so low down.. its a great car.. i guess it feels that bit more special because i only take her out when its nice.. which isn\'t often!

Ricco_04

Ah thats all good, just shows you have respect for the car and others :)  I dont slide mine on purpose :)  Nice to keep them for enjoyment use, hope you have many smiles when you drive! :chat

Might I suggest that you replace the HT leads as well as rewire or replace the fuel pump, both these parts can wear out and cause issues with the engine so its always best to replace those parts as the car is now basically a classic :)

Retro_Boy_G

Honestly dude, if i knew how to then i would.. I\'m not even sure what the HT leads are.. Money is tight for me at the moment due to having two cars and trying to save up.. i am going to book her in for an oil change and service over the next few weeks which is going to cost me almost £100.. plus i am still waiting to hear from Ben to see how much he is wanting for the bonnet.. plus i still need to get my rear light covers..

TiddlesRX7

HT leads are the wires connecting the coil packs to the spark plugs. They are known for breaking down over time like any car really. Its always a good cheap place to start. As for the oil change. It\'s really not that difficult to do. Go and buy some axle stands and a trolly jack (£50 maybe less) and a socket or spanner set (£20-£40 maybe less) and you can do your own. That\'ll save you a £100 every 3000 miles.
