Hey mate, The pictures above are my actual car with the front bumper installed. It\'s not that i am looking for a new front, it\'s just that i didn\'t know it had an after market one installed. :)

Retro_Boy_G

ahhh wait.. I think i have been confused.. I presumed it was the first picture of MY car he was reffering to.. but now i have just realised he meant the very very first picture i posted.. hehe oops! Sorry, forget i even mentioned the front bumper.. The front on my car is just fine for me.

Sorry again, my bad. :(

Welcome btw, as has already been said, don\'t be afraid to ask questions!

ditto..

as for ur rear spoiler, im nt sure how many bolts hold that down but then TII spoiler is held down by 1 screw and 1 bolt on either end of the spoiler and also there are 2 bolts holding the lifted part of the spoiler. hard to explain but if u look closely at adareed pics then u\'ll see 2 stubbie bits holding the spoiler to the boot. if anything u prob have to drill a couple holes to fit a TII spoiler on.

oh.. btw with the bonnet, i have removed my top mount IC so the bulk head is open to the natural elements and so far the bulk head has not been covered in crap, but then again.. wait the leaves start to fall n then lets see how it turns out lol

Hi,
Welcome to the club.
A very clean looking car you have!
I have a turbo II white bonnet (great cond.) and also a turbo II White Spoiler (average-good cond).

I know the bonnet bolts straight on, but I\'m not sure of the fitment of the spoiler. Contact me on ben_s_lewis AT hotmail.com if you are interested in the parts (or anything else for that matter, I have lots of bits!)

Thanks,
Ben

I hate sounding cheesy but seriously thanks again for the warm welcome.. it makes time online more enjoyable when people aren\'t looking down on us so call n00bs.. hehe..

Ben - I have sent you an email regarding the bonnet.

Can anyone recommend some good oil for the car also?.. I\'ve not had a good look in the engine yet.. but when i did look i don\'t recall seeing the little oil rod to test the levels.. i\'m sure ive just overlooked it but could anyone tell me where it should be?..

Thanks again

Gianni :mmmm

Oil? Use a good mineral oil, rotarys are designed to burn oil and mineral oils burn cleaner than most synthetics (unless you want to buy really good synthetics and TBH in a stock motor it is unnecessary). The dip stick should be a yellow hoop on the right side of the engine (as you look at it from the front of the car).

Loud? Hell yes! :D

Yep the dip stick is located between the spark plugs on the passenger side of the car. I use mineral oil 10/40w or 15/40w. Castrol is good I have used Valvoline last time.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

Hi mate, Ben will sort you out with what you need as its all in white. I have actually sold my really, really, really nice spoiler to someone else but I also like the spoiler in the 1st pic.  There are a lot of us with some good knowledge  all about the FC\'s and someone somewhere will guide you, prompt you and then say \' I told you so\'.  Whatever you do, do the research and dont throw your money away.  We have all been there and by now pretty much all the pro\'s and cons have been covered about everything imaginable about mods and upgrades.  At the end of the day its your car and thats the most important thing but please please ask for advice if you are unsure.
The first thing for you though is to read about that engine thats under your bonnet, you will get to know it well.
There are a few Northern meets and shows that are really not that far south from you but be warned they only drink shandy !!!   lol

Ha Ha i can better that.. i only drink water!... haha how boring am i?.. I don\'t know if this is a cheeky question but what is the sort of average age on here?.. I\'ve only just turned 24 but have the looks of a 17 year old.. (a good looking 17 year old mind you hehe ;) ) and i get some crazy looks from people when i am driving the FC.. It just seems everyone on here is a little older and obviously more wiser than i am..

I sent Ben an email earlier this afternoon so i will wait and see what he says.. im 100% set on leaving my spoiler as it is now but getting it painted white.. aswell as the black trim on the sides.. which i\'m wondering if anyone knows how to remove them?.. I\'m not sure if they just pull off or i need to take the door interior off to get into them..

As for Oil i will try the castrol GTX 10w/40.. i have heard alot of people mentioned the castrol stuff when asking around.. will it basically say castrol GTX 10w/40 on the bottle?.. my biggest nightmare is pouring in some oil that aint too good for it and totally messing it up..

Brett - Thats seems like some good advice.. I have been told i should never turn the car off while the engine is cold and should always wait until the engine is hot before going foot happy with the pedals.. The only thing about the not turning it off when its cold means i don\'t ever feel i can take it out the garage, clean it then put it back in.. haha.. its a nightmare as im so anal when it comes to stuff like this.. :(

Thanks again for all your help and i\'ll try get her cleaned and some better pics up.. i will also let you know who i get on with Ben. :)

Gianni

dthebuk

yes the castrol says what it is on the bottle. Its white with a red top and will just say castrol gtx 10w/40. there other ones that say diesel and high milage, which aren\'t what you want.

Not sure how to remove the spoilers, i guess they\'re a mix between clips and screws.

Also im 19 and look like a 15 yr old and ive yet to receive any dodgy looks, maybe its just where i live :D
