Sorry to hear that Dave, did you buy Ben\'s Lump ? Now that is ready to drop in !!
get those ports done and then with all your kit on the car it should push some good BHP.
At least you can rebuild in your own time and when funds aree available. If ever I see a poor engine i am going to get one just to strip, learn and then rebuild. I have the DVD if you want a copy, its the Aussi one and pretty good.

If there is anything you need then let me know, you are not too far from me and I can rip these out in a few hours. I also have an engine hoist as well.

Thats unlucky :(

When you say "But the remaining few months of my warranty are now worthless, as my engine builder has also taken a turn for the worse" - do you mean that Rotechniks are not able/willing to honour your warranty?  thats very disturbing... (especially as they just rebuilt mine too) :(

Red and Single

PLEASE Clarify the situation with ROTECHNIKS as this is of great interest to the wider rotary community.

I\'m going to rebuild it myself - was planning on doing that with another engine ready for when this one let go (thinking that was some time off in the future :2Rolleyes), but fate has forced that upon me earlier.  The engine definitely has a seal gone - unusually it\'s the front rotor from the sounds it was making.  Engine really struggled to start cold - and has that tell tale beat in the exhaust - not good.  Ran it only long enough to establish it\'s fu bar\'d and to drop the fuel pressure out by disconnecting the pump - ready for the tear down this weekend.

For now I\'ll just get the lump out, as I\'ve loads of stuff to do around the house, but it\'ll be a project for end of the year - early next year.  Going to strip, clean and paint the whole block, and do a full rebuild, then store it ready for the next time.

I do give my engines a hard time - so probably a good idea if I learn to rebuild them and get good at it - lol

It would be interesting trying to make it fit, but it\'s cheaper than a rebuild.
Good luck with it
