Powersteering oil leaking. What to change?

Guy...just finished rebuilding my TII....

drove for a few days and I found the powersteering fluid leaking.

any suggestion what to do?

Its the front cooling pipe, you can see it in front of the radiator, I just got mine changed, its not a short job as I found out, its basically where the mounts are it rusts under the plastic, this is what mine did when it decided to leak:

While you\'re down there its worth ensuring the front crossmember is solid and has a nice coating of waxoyl :wave

I do agree with the checking for rust and such, whilst the car is up in the air get a good check over done and water proof it :) Btw a new pipe from Mazda will cost about £120 ic VAT, the other option is to buy a 2nd hand pipe that might look ok, but will leak as soon as the 2 1/2 hour job is finished lol

There is a fluid you can put in the oil to stop leaks, might be worth the £5 from Halfrauds.

hey, just get rid of the front crossmember! replace it with a nice pice of 50mm box section!:Giggle
