Hi Guys,

Is there a wideband install guide ? I had a quick look on here but couldnt find anything. Just going for the Innovate LC1 as I dont want another gauge in the car, just want it to connect up to a laptop.

Cheers,
Gareth

Should be pretty straight forward. They usually need power (To heat the wideband) and then thread the wiring through the firewall and jobs a good \'un.

Just got mine done, but mines not the innovate.

Also, you can\'t put the sensor in the downpipe, as it\'s too close to the turbo there and will get too hot. If you have a midpipe with a bung in it, that\'ll be perfect. Or you can get a heatsink for it and put it in the downpipe.

good luck with the innovate...i found it too tempramental....and jacked it for a AEM.

Have a look on the innovate forum...and look at how many people have issues with them.

Try this one, this is the one I have: Just two wires to wire in, and if you don\'t want another gauge (Bit pointless in my opinion as it\'s good to see your AFR\'s all the time, but your decision! :)) you could always hide it behind the dash - it has an RS232 plug for logging.

Nik one of the tuners who tunes all my friends cars (sadly not RX7s) recommends the Vems and can do them for £200. I already have 2 gauges in the pillar pod but didnt want to have to buy another pod and put that in the centre speaker location. Suppose you are right, I could put it in the dash somewhere. Where are you mounting yours ?

nikp

I have cunningly (Well, i think cunningly!) mounted mine on a bit of velcro on the dash next to the instrument pod. I\'ll do a photo in a sec....

Subtle mate, very subtle :D But looks good.

Dont suppose you have any pics of where you mounted the sensor ? I have a silenced midpipe but dont remember there being any bungs in it.

You\'d recommend the Vems unit then ? I only was going with innovate because when I have seen people tuning they use the LM1 unit.

Ed, can you log from the AEM unit ? I\'d also like to plug it into something that will communicate with the power fc, I believe it is the fc datalogit program (or is there something else, ideally I\'d like to do some monitoring first).
Nick will the Vems work also ?

nikp

the vems will work with the datalogit. In fact, to be honest anything will as long as you know the outputs.

Garath. Run a LM-1. You can log you runs and take the unit and download it to you pc using log works software. Remember you can not run a wideband 02 in the exhaust with it not powered.

If you use the LM-1 you can put the box under the seat when not in use
