Hi i am trying to find information on mapping the apexi. though i know it is not something you can pick up in 5 minutes and it would be silly to try doing it until you are 100% confident, it is something that i would like to learn. so my question is where can i find the relevant info give me a basic knowledge to start with
Thanks
Lee

well have a google of Datalogit which is needed to change all the parameters on the apexi .

There\'s a great guide on RX7Club.com

Just had a quick look and cant find it now, try searching for Wideband tuning.

1st thing to do lee is read as much as you can, just search on whatever you can think of and read, even if you dont understand it now it will eventually all come clear.

maybe even download the DL softwear and run it on ya computer as it will help you understand it a little better.

There is info online. Most of it on rx7club. I am learning myself too.

Hardware required is a datalogit kit (Comes with software) and a wideband lambda sensor, controller and gauge (Which i am currently wiring in to mine!).

Which kit did you go for

Lee squirt me a pm for the datalogit software.

As for wideband go for the mucho reliable innovate lc-1 as its a doddle to fix up to the datalogit, lc1 + gauge are about 170 or £45 less without a gauge , i dont see the point of a gauge as if you could see lean then its prolly allready to late.

The datalogit isnt a kit lee its just a box that transfers data between a laptop and an apexi pfc, they can be purchased for about £200.

And they come with the software. I don\'t think the software is particularly easily found on the net, is it? Or has someone managed to get hold of it?

I\'ve gone for this kit: http://shop.vems.hu/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=101

It uses the common bosch wideband, and a gauge capable of showing lambda and also EGTs. Just need the EGT sensor not. Dead easy to wire up. You can do data logging using this kit, but I want to take the feed off it and log lambda and EGT onto the datalogit (Which you can do - but i need to figure out which cables i need to splice into!!)

just been looking at widebands, would i be correct in saying if i went for the lm2 kit that would include dataloggit or am i reading there ad wrong
Thanks
Lee

no the LM2 wont get you a datalogit lol, LM2 will get you logworks (logging of AFR against rpm, boost etc), Datalogit is purchased from a New Zealand company, Datalogit allows your laptop to talk to the Apexi ECU and change map settings

The wideband kit that i showed will do data logging too. (But not datalogit!)

thanks chaps found it now. Blitzboy i know you do a lot of mapping which wdeband would you recomend
Thanks

Personally I use the LM1 kit as I can easily transfer it from one car to another , as its used on multiple cars, but to be honest they are all good if they use the bosch sensor
