Hi

I have this problem of no power at the radio connector...
To cut a long story short -the prev jap owner had spliced various bits off the
audio power connector..

So, I have the thick green rx7 handbook and i think i have located the right
wiring diagram but I don\'t make head or tail of the - "this line leads to this
relay/thingy, then thru this fuse...blah blah"...
Can anyone point my in the right direction -i would need to test the
corresponding relay and points etc..?

since the ignition would need to be on, the problem could be behind the
ignition barrel too...?!

{I do have a fuse box located in front of the rads with a "relay socket"
labelled audio, but the socket
is taken up by a sort of holder that just has pieces of wire joining 1 --> 2
pins, like its bypassing what used to be a relay, ...if so then this cant be
the problem..!?}
I could paste pics of this bits....

:3Confused :god

Thanks
Jas

Run a permanent live to the radio, and a ignition live to the radio,  all from the ignition switch :)

Or the Permanent live straight from the battery

..sure thats what i\'ve had to try to make sure it wasn\'t the controller itself, i
wasn\'t wanting to add more wires to the existing balls up of an electrical setup.

perm options are:
1.  take out this make shift setup and run what you suggest ....OR
     - but then my eventually audio setup won\'t ever run...no power..
     - i\'m not sure what the ignition wires involved i need to piggy back off..

2. i had an idea of running some relay setup off the cigar lighter...and add my
    CD deck later too...

3. spend time getting to the booton of all this...

option 1 sounds ok, i\'ll have power and can take my time sorting option 3...

Any othe takers for the electical diagram ....?

thanks

Take a look at http://www.wrex-racing.com/html/fd/94_manuals/94_wiring_diagram.zip which has Bose and non-Bose wiring diagrams and colours. I\'d post it, but it\'s about 30MB :(

well the fuse for the radio is the one to the right of the foot well sticks out on its own failing that yes run new wires .
but be warned jap wireing is very thing and wont take many amps so if you have a juicy stereo its better to have a clean feed to many wires piggy backed will end up in smoke

Hi There, I have this same problem! I have tested all my wiring and have all but the constant live. Can you point me in the direction (or post a pic of it) of the fuse in the foot well? I found the fuses and have a feeling one may be completely missing? Help please! Thank you. Should it be a 10amp normal type car fuse? in it\'s own slot above all the other fuses in the white joint box?

Thank you
Lee

batman
