i did run the car for a few minutues to see where the oil was coming from, so the engine was warm when i tested compression!
The shell is generally good and solid, the only welding is on the driver side sill.

Maybe the engine is a bit on the \'lazy\' side then, if it was warm enough when tested?
 
If you do have to strip it (which will be a shame), and once you\'ve sold any \'goodies\' off it I may be interested in taking away the \'rolling\' shell to save it. It would have to be a rolling shell though so it could be trailered away. Realistically I probably couldn\'t do this until late august / early September due to work / holiday commitments (and the fact that you\'re so far away!!).

i\'d rather it didn\'t go for scrap as the shell is pretty good, and it has a new windscreen.
i don\'t want it sitting around for too long, so as early as you can!

Ok mate, let me know what you want to do and contact me direct via email whenever you\'re ready. Like I say the car really needs to be a rolling shell with suspension/brakes etc still intact to allow it to be loaded onto a trailer. Let me know what you sell please so I know what\'s left to work with.
FYI - I\'m away 23/7-30/7 then 13/8-20/8.

pulleys and alternator are good!
drivers side door has had work and been repainted(not very well)other side is good.
wing is straight but paint faded and a scratch.
