Hi guys I\'m after a vented bonnet to help me keep my temps down and have been looking at this one.

Any ideas roughly how much one of these is going to set me back?
Not fussed if CF or Alu.

If you want proper Feed you\'re talking over £1 in CF, shineauto do a (good) copy for around $550 and also do in fibreglass. I\'ve also seen another copy on ebay for around £500.

It\'s my favourite bonnet and one day I shall have one!

Sweet best get saving then!

mazdanetwork will be doing vented bonnets ... or vip-bodykits.com do good ones from America .. its where i got my boot from . fit is almost perfect on the boot.

If you are after cooling i\'d suggest getting some test data - My car ran cooler with the stock bonnet than it did with my AD9...
The area where the vents are on that are even further into the high pressure zone than they are on the AD9, which really won\'t help things...

Ah interesting comments may be worth me spending the cash on a better incooler.

I got a vented bonnet bud, like this one here: http://www.mazdarotaryparts.com/bfd-b29-seibon-ks-style-carbon-fibre-bonnetb-1058-p.asp
it made a massive difference in temps as the vents sit just behind the I/C so the hot air flows out the vents, i\'ve proved this as the bonnet before the vents (i.e at the front of the car) is really hot while behind the vents is so much cooler is unreal.

I\'ll dig out my test results later - not conclusive or exhaustive in any way, but the temps were consistently cooler with the stock bonnet. There are some very interesting articles on autospeed pertaining to this as well.

That\'d be cool cheers bud.
I\'ve done a bit of reading up this afternoon and it seems that although vented bonnets are supposed to help cooling they only help if the vents and the airflow are in the right place.
Will have to look into this a bit better before I invest.
