If not I might have one for you.  (Cooler)

Have you ever investigated as to why your car dumped oil ? It might well be something very simple to fix. I hope its not another car for the scrappy in the sky.

Quote from: adereed;517044It\'s in front of the radiator low down. Stock part evryone has one but they are prone to leaking.

I\'ll take a look tonight!

i\'ll see if i can work out where the oil is coming from.
i really didn\'t want to break it but i might not have much choice?
if i can find out where the oil is coming from and the compression looks ok, maybe someone here would like to buy it and keep it on the road?
i\'d prefer that!

Yeah go that route if you can. If I had the money and could get it to me I would have it. Then i\'d have 3 red TII\'s. something tells me the missus wouldn\'t be happy though!
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

i\'d like to try and sort it myself but i no longer have the time or the space to mess about with cars:(

the Oil seems to be leaking from the turbo oil return pipe?

Did a compression test and the front rotor is reading low, 75 ish

grinder

dont forget you have to read it with the engine warm

and 75 , humm you are looking at 90-100 for a GOOD engine

but if the back is the same then it might be ok - its 5.3 bar - which is pretty low thoug

Like grinder says, you\'re not going to get a good reading with a cold engine. I presume you did it cold due to your oil problem? Was it running OK before the oil \'dump\'?

Is it a good shell mate? ie Has it had much welding to the floor / sills? If it\'s good then it\'s a real shame to scrap it.
