I was just inspecting all my vaccum hoses and found the hose from the solenoid marked "G" in the diagam (double throttle) passes through a vaccum chamber, and then up to the double throttle control actuator. However, the hose on my car doesn\'t pass through a vaccum chamber at all:3Confused
it comes off the solenoid and straight up to the metal pipe on the rats nest, and then on to the actuator. Is this right or am i missing something? Plus there\'s about 3 other metal pipes which are not connected to anything either end, again, is this normal?

Thanks in advance to any replys.

*BUMP*
Also, one more question, does anybody know where to buy the check valves and solenoids.etc from? looked everywhere but can\'t find anything. Do I have to go directly to Mazda for these items? Cheers. (thinking of replacing the vaccum hoses now and thought it would be a good idea to replace most other bits too.)

do u get boost when u re-apply throttle?

JohnP

pinched this off a troubleshooting site:

Note, that the vacuum supply is from the Vacuum Chamber, thus leakage of the one-way check valve for the Vacuum Chamber will result in Primary boost applied on both sides of the actuator resulting in this valve opening when it should not, dumping Primary boost through the Charge Relief , Secondary Turbo and out the Charge Relief Valve. Another symptom of a leaky Vacuum Chamber one-way check valve is a loss of boost that is restored if the throttle is let off, (re-charging the Vacuum Chamber from engine vacuum) then quickly re-applying throttle results in boost.

maybe ur getting inconsistent boost and these symptons because ur missing the vac chamber?

That sounds very similar to the problem I have. Boost is all over the place, and it does help if i ease off the throttle and then re apply it. Just had a look and i can see the vaccum chamber! it just doesn\'t appear to be connected. I think i\'m going to start stripping it all down to get a closer look and see why it hasn\'t been connected. I\'m guessing there shouldn\'t be any reason for it being disconnected?

Thanks for the link john. :Thumbs-up
