welcome, and as said before . be careful with the back end. rex`s have a great control feeling upto 95%  then it goes. usually 180. or in my case 360 then 180 then central reservation :-(
if i had 8 hour to cut down a tree. i`d spend 6 sharpening the axe

Really nice looking car :cool... Miguel\'s found you a good one there.

Reading your first post is making me really look forward to mine arriving! :)

Looks lovely :)

Very similar to how mine should be by the end of the week :D

Out of interest, what size front plate are you running there dude?
I need to replace my ridiculously small chav spec front plate.

Hi Steve

Welcome to the club

I also have a white 96 import, 99 spec front and back, I love them in white - best colour

Make sure that you make the Rotorstock 5 !!!!!!!

Unfortunatly she\'s poorly at the moment only had her on the road a fortnight before a tip ejected itself and embedded itself in the CAT. Really gutted :(

She\'s down at Hayward awaiting a rebuild but there is a big queue and I\'m expecting about 5-6 weeks turn around. She\'s geting a street port and non-seq at the same time and possibly a clutch.

Suffice it to say its been an expensive start to FD ownership. :eek

Gutted for you mate, only 2 weeks??

Did you get your car from a trader?  Is it going to be paid under warranty?

5 weeks?  I had mine re-build and ported in 3 days in Romford at Powergains Motor Sport...

got to agree a bit with the above. 5 weeks is one hell of a wait!

I would advise going against non seq if you are running a stock ECU as well , keep it seq why chop off the low part of the power band, it still miffs me why people do it if you have a working seq system in the first place.

I\'m down London for work at the moment so won\'t be back up home until the car is done. I usually spend the week in London and weekend at home in Pinxton and the car lives there.

I have PFC so no need to worry about the ecu front, I like the sequential system don\'t get me wrong but if I don\'t like it I can get it changed back for free anyway. The street port should get the non-seq to boost earlier than 4000 rpm anyway.

I was persuaded by some friends to get the engine done by Carl as you get a waranty and the reassurance that the best hands have been placed on your engines sensitive parts :D

Well said, that man. :chat:chat:chat

i am yet to understand the whole non sequen set up. whats the point?
dont get me wrong , these cars are pigs if the system is not working right.

but the sequn set up makes these cars special, unless your going bigg horses anyways.

Well I was under the impression that when driving gently I will be using less fuel as the primary turbo will be off until the revs are high. When I exit corners I\'ll be less likely to make a mistake by hitting the transition point.

The street port should reduce the point at which parallel turbos spool anyway, and in the wet when driving slowly and pulling out of junctions slowly the car won\'t be trying to light the rears up all the time.

When I\'m driving fast the revs will barely ever drop below 4000 anyway.

These are the reasons for me considering it, has anyone had both setups and found non-seq better?
