new rx owner... and loving it!

Hi all,

my name is hywel and i am currently about to start back at uni in swansea doing a course in motorsport engineering. I have been looking for a rear wheel drive car for ages to replace my cheap to run, comfortable, work horse audi 80 1.9tdi.

I own a couple of classic scimitars, one is being restored and one is awaiting a full project workout! and I love to drive them so I needed something that good!

and I found it on ebay....

since getting it I have got two new rear tyres, wipers, a front number plate and some metal polish for the wheels and an MOT! (she only failed on the handbrake cable on one side and the old tyres she had been sat on for three years were a bit cracked!

so here she is after a quick hand polish:





and yes this is (as far as i can tell) genuine mileage!




so what do you think? I like it! lol

I was kinda hoping to get it to retro cars last sat but wiper relay probs got the better of me and so i went without it.

As far as I know - Digikey do the Omron relay you need.

cheers for the link, had figured out how to disassemble and my housemate is pretty handy with pcbs but now i dont have to guess....

I am really happy with the car, just getting used to not driving it like my previous diesel car as I get abismal mpg if I do! lol
