Hi All,

Had a look around the forum and found some nice custom fabrications of Power FC Commander holders.

Has any found a cheap n cheerful way of mounting the commander i.e phone holder / Ipod holder etc instead of sticking it in the vent ?

Cant justify spending nearly £70(Ebay) on the R Magic holder for a piece of plastic. :Nono!  :bandit  :2eek

Many thanks
Paul

why put it somewhere you cant see it, you had might as well just stick it in the glove box!

Nice, mine is velcro\'d in a slightly higher position. Nice and easy to see behind the wheel. Just the double sided tape velcro.

Don\'t the UK cars have the fag lighter on other side though ?

rhd japan sell the rmagic holder for £40 delivered. i would say for the price it is well worth it. when i bought mine i thought it was a bit of a gimmick, but it places it exactly where you want it and it is a well made bit of kit

You could use some cable ties and mount it to one of the air verys in the centre. Or velcro and stick it to the dash.
If you\'ve got a bit more money to spend and wanted something a bit different then you could do something like this... :D

How hard is it to take the commander apart?

There\'s actualy an official part from Apexi to do that mod but its rare as rocking horse doo doo! I\'ve only seen them twice so far never in life just via sales.
I woof in your general direction.

Easy to take apart, but splitting  the two circuit boards is a delcate task as they are through plated holes, then just have to solder on 20 jump wires.
