Here\'s my breakdown of stats...

60ft  - 2.117
330ft - 5.819
MPH1 - 87.70
660ft - 8.688
990ft - 11.019
MPH2 - 118.32
1320ft - 13.011

Looking back through my slips, one guy I was up against ( P11 if it\'s you) managed a 0.401 reaction aka 0.001 off perfect !!!

BTW: Times were on  my normal Yokohama street tyres and it was my first day doing a 1/4 mile ever. (should I line up more excuses :rollin )

Timrxmotors

My new time is 11.698 at 117mph,done at rotorstock, the gearbox exploded on that run.My highest terminal was 126mph,screaming across the line still in 3rd gear!I wonder what rpm that was?Think I need to sort my gearing, then do a 10 sec run,no Nos,just power.:) Very well done Ross and Geff for going quicker than me,that will change soon!

Hi all,

I\'ll wait until we have a bunch of times and mph\'s up from rotorstock, then update the table in one go.

Can\'t believe the mph from Ross - 127mph was it?  that is good enough for a 10 second pass.  Well done Ross!
Both Ross and me had 127mph+ ;)

Ross\' launching was awesome from what i\'ve heard.

Glenn Butcher

Well done Geff, Tim and all that had a go!!

10 second passes are very close I think!  :cool

Can all who ran put up there times/mph\'s so I can update the table.  thanks
Thanks,

RE:Worx

11.48 @127mph

car did over 30 runs over the weekend. Then drove it home. Car still has full interior and stereo in it!!!! definitely capable of 10\'s with a few more tweeks.
Car is now For Sale.

990 - 12.532
1320 - 15.07114

( oh yeah - it was a rotorstock - and its the first time i have been on the strip )

Its a 1990 FC TII - engine rebuilt my mazda about 40K ago
totally standard apart from removal of main cat

was disapointed about not making a 14 - but i have nothing to compare it against - so need some more TII figures :)

i did manage a run of 93.41 MPH but it was a slower time of 15.23523 - so not sure how that works exactly

Because its all about the launch.  You will have had a poorer start.

Archbish

you had a poo-er launch, but less poo-ey gear changes.

I hope that helps.  You probably didn\'t understand it, due to fear of Gurj\'s revenge that will rain down on you like torrent of pain, terror and McDonalds fuelled heartburn...

is it some personal vendetta of yours ??

but yeah - it makes no sense - and from someone who didnt have the guts to run - i shall say no more

Car 1 accelerates to 50mph in 1 second, and then takes a further 4 seconds to get to 60 mph.

Car 2 sits on the line wheelspinning and after 4 seconds only does 10mph, but then it has better power or something and hits 60 again in another second.

They have both been going for 5 seconds, and both are moving at the same speed at this point in time.  Car 1 however is going to be a long way up the road due to the longer time at a higher speed, before the other cars power overcomes the lead already gained.

Its an extreme example, but I was just trying to point out how the start makes a difference.

Hope that kinf of explains it.

Archbish

I did too run.  At 4am, monday morning, I timed myself (counting out loud, as my watch doesn\'t have a light), and (as I didn\'t have the lights on) I used the mileometer (bit tricky, as I had to convert from km\'s to miles, and then divide by 4), I reckon I did the 1/4 mile in about 8.4 secs, with the first 60ft in about 0.2 seconds.

I think I can see where you guys keep getting slow times.  What you do is reverse as far as you can up to the wall, and start from there.  By the time you\'re passing the sensor, you\'re doing a good 20 mph already and just makes it that bit easier.

I was surprised no-one else was doing it in the shootout, as it made it much easier to do quick times...

Obviously I didn\'t run on monday, as that kind of time would have demoralised everyone else, esp as I\'m still running twins and the cat\'s still on the car...

Hey - it\'s not my fault Gurj is going to get you...!!

J4P RX  - thanks for the comments - seems to make a bit more sense now

Bish - im not gonna lower myself to your level ( and you can probably run quicker than your car - that HUGE boot spoiler but weigh 200kg )
